TVS phoenix motor bike launched in AP capital

TVS Motor Company launched its premium executive deluxe motorcycle TVS Phoenix 125cc here today.

Dubbed by the company to be one of the most feature-filled products to roll off its line, TVS phoenix 125 is targeted at consumers who aspire to upgrade from just commuting to those who crave for a spirited ride experience without compromising on mileage, TVS Motor Company Regional Manager (sales) S Arun Kumar told reporters at a press conference after the launch.

He said TVS Phoenix was loaded with premium features and backed by an all new, highly refined 125cc EcoThrust engine, that provides excellent pickup with best in class fuel efficiency.

The bike promises to be a seamless combination of premium style and comfort with unique, first of its kind features in its segment.

Mr Kumar said 'we have developed an all new engine for this motorcycle. It complements several unique features to ensure 'premium ride quality'. This launch will increase our market share in the segment, he said, adding we are now present in the economy, executive and premium segements of the motorcycle market.

Yamaha Motor launches showroom at Madhyamgram

Kolkata, Nov 8 (IBNS)

Yamaha Motors Thursday launched a new dealership Tanushka Auto in North Madhyamgram.

The showroom was inaugurated by the company's Division Head-Sales Strategy Planning Hirikazo Yoshimitsu and Zonal Business Head Ratheesh Nair.

Tanushka Auto will exhibit an entire range of bikes including the New Ray scooter, the YZF-R15 version 2.0 (150cc), FZV series (153cc) and SZ series (153cc) for the bike lovers of the city, informed officials.

Yoshimitsu said, "West Bengal is a very crucial market for us and we are committed to offering the best of the products from our portfolio to customers here. In the deluxe segment, which is our mainstay category, Yamaha has 12pc market share in West Bengal, up from 9pc last year."

Nair asserted, "Apart from this we have three other dealerships in Kolkata, Howrah and in other places at West Bengal".

India Yamaha Motor aims to enhance not just the bike riding culture among the youth of West Bengal but also encourage more women to embrace the joy of riding with the new scooter Ray and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction by offering one-stop two wheeler solution to meet all the needs of its esteemed customers.

We’ve heaped high praise on the new lump under the hood of Ford’s new Boss 302, calling it “so vigorous and charismatic that its likeness ought to be carved on Mount Rushmore.” Just the thing, then, for your old, your tired, your 4.6L-motivated Mustang. Or perhaps some manner of new-age Track T with all manner of power domes sculpted into the bonnet—the Ford modular engines have always been wide boys, especially when compared to the hot-rod standard Chevy small block.

So for $11,999, what do you get? From the box, you’ll get a monster with 11:1 compression, a stonking 8.5-quart oil pan designed to avoid oil-starvation under hard cornering, CNC-machined heads, sodium-filled exhaust valves (hello, Porsche 914 2.0!), forged pistons with sinter-forged rods, an engine wiring harness set up for a manual transmission, and a flywheel. What you don’t get? The powertrain control module and those zippy blue coil-pack covers. If you’re willing to sacrifice 14 hp, GM’s 6.2L E-Rod LS3 crate engine comes in at well under four thousand dollars cheaper and includes an ECU. Oh, Blue Oval children, why must your pocketbooks suffer so for a taste of glory?

Mini Goodwood Concept headed to Shanghai Motor Show

At the recent Geneva Motor Show, a source within Mini revealed to Autoblog that the automaker will be bringing a new concept, dubbed "Goodwood," to the Shanghai Motor Show next month.

The Goodwood concept is a fully plushified, hand-wrought hatchback updo that pays hommage to not only the current Rolls-Royce headquarters on the Goodwood estate (hey, it's all in the BMW Group family), but also to the Rolls-Royce/Bentley glory years of bespoke treatments by the in-house Mulliner Park Ward department. Consider it a high-margin fluff job for present-day good-taste barometer nations like China, Russia, India, Abu Dhabi and Switzerland.

Coachbuilder Park Ward of London became a wholly owned part of Rolls-Royce/Bentley in 1939, while H.J. Mulliner & Co. was absorbed in 1961. Together these workers melded into one under the legendary Mulliner Park Ward bespoke umbrella. In 1998 when Rolls-Royce and Bentley were hewn asunder, Mulliner was eventually reconstituted under the Bentley brand as its bespoke group, while Park Ward lasted until 2002 at the end of the limited-run Rolls-Royce Park Ward extended-wheelbase model.

We're eager to get our hands on the official images and details sometime before the Wee Roller's debut next month. Should be rich.
