As the leisure motorcycle culture in India becomes stronger, American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson on Thursday gave motorcycle enthusiasts another reason to hit the road with the launch of the much awaited Harley-Davidson Fat Bob in India.
Assembled at the company's Bawal, Haryana facility, this new addition from the Dyna family expands Harley-Davidson India's portfolio of CKD (Complete Knockdown) models to six.
Launched at an attractive price point, the Fat Bob will be available at all nine Harley-Davidson dealerships across the country.
The Fat Bob is a motorcycle with a real punch, including a hardcore front end, complete with twin headlights for a mean and moody stance.
Tommy Gun exhausts add to the distinctive side profile and deliver the glorious 1600cc V-twin soundtrack that is pure Harley-Davidson.
Speaking at the launch of the Fat Bob, Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India, said: "Along with being an ideal motorcycle for India attitudes and roads, the introduction of the Fat Bob, our newest addition to our lineup available through CKD, is further proof of our ability to move ahead of the marketplace by listening to our customers."
Harley- Davidson FAT BOB will be available with Air cooled, Twin Cam 96 engine delivering 126 N-m @ 3500 rpm of peak torque.
The super - efficient 1585 cc engine is mated to a Six-Speed Cruise Drive.
The Six-Speed Cruise Drive transmission provides smooth, quiet shifting and reduces engine speed on the highway, so one gets better match between engine turnover and road speed.
